WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, Congressman Carlos A. Gimenez pressed members of the military of the Biden Administration’s strategy in Ukraine at a full House Armed Service Committee hearing.
“Russia finances its brutal war against Ukraine primarily through the sale of oil and natural gas to adversarial countries, like Communist China,” said Rep. Gimenez. “The Biden Administration must do more to restrict and sanction Russia’s energy sector to hamper their ability to wage war against Ukraine. Additionally, Congress has the responsibility to provide our Ukrainian friends with the tools they need to fight against Putin’s murderous campaign and defend freedom and democracy in Europe.”
