Miami, FL - Today, Congressman Carlos Gimenez (FL-28) congratulates House colleague and GOP Conference Chair, Congresswoman Elsie Stefanik (NY-21) on her nomination as Ambassador to the United Nations.
“President-elect Trump’s Ambassador to the United Nations is my friend, colleague, and House GOP Chairwoman Elise Stefanik,” said Representative Carlos Gimenez. “Elise has proven to be a champion for freedom against tyranny and oppression across the globe. She is a fighter and will continue to be a close ally and friend of the cause for freedom in countries like Cuba, Venezuela, and Nicaragua which are near and dear to the people of South Florida. I know Elsie and she will not let us down. As much as we will miss her in the House, she will continue to make our country proud while serving in the incoming Trump Administration as Ambassador to the United Nations.”
