WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, Congressman Carlos A. Giménez questioned witnesses in a full Homeland Security Committee hearing to examine the financial cost of the historic humanitarian and national security crisis at the Southwest border. President Biden and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas’ reckless, open-border policies affect communities across the nation and have misspent millions of taxpayer dollars.

This hearing launches the fourth phase of the Homeland Security Committee’s five phase oversight investigation into the unprecedented crisis at our southern border and Secretary Mayorkas’ dereliction of duty.
