Dear Friends,

As we gather to celebrate this holiday season, I want to take a moment to reflect on the many blessings we share. This is a time to embrace the values that unite us: faith, family, and the spirit of giving.

We are fortunate to live in a nation of opportunity, surrounded by people who care for one another and work tirelessly to make our communities stronger. Let us give thanks for the brave men and women who serve our country and keep us safe, especially those unable to be with their loved ones this holiday season.

May we all take this opportunity to extend kindness to our neighbors, lend a hand to those in need, and cherish the moments with our families. Together, let’s carry this spirit of gratitude and hope into the new year.

From my family to yours, Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah!

Sincerely,

Your Congressman,
Carlos A. Gimenez

U.S. House Prevents a Government Shutdown

I am proud to have voted for the American Relief Act of 2025 which is going to provide much needed disaster-relief funding to our state and many others that were impacted by this year's hurricane season. Further, we provided aid to our farmers, such as those that live in Homestead and the Redlands, to help revitalize important agricultural industries like Florida’s citrus industry.

Throughout the process of budget negotiations, I was in the room proving solutions and I am proud we cut a deal to fund our government as we enter the holiday season..

Chairman Carlos Gimenez Holds Hearing on USCG Polar Cutters

As Chairman of the Subcommittee on Transportation and Maritime Security, I held a hearing to receive an update from the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) on the delay of the construction of the icebreaker fleet from the Polar Security Cutter (PSC) program.

The hearing comes as the USCG continues to delay the production of the icebreaker fleet. The first Polar Security Cutter was slated to be operational in 2024, however the delays now have the cutter being operational, at the earliest, in 2030 and with costs being significantly more than originally anticipated. Designs for the cutter have yet to be finalized since the start of the PSC program in 2018.

Congressman Carlos Gimenez Meets with Peruvian Officials

I was honored to be joined by my dear friend and colleague, Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart, as we met with our friends from Peru, Ambassador Alfredo Ferrero and Foreign Minister Elmer Schialer. We remain committed to our friends and allies in Peru and look forward to the next four years to build upon that friendship with the incoming Trump Administration.

Congressman Carlos Gimenez Meets with Families of Hostages from 10/7

All hostages must be immediately released. I am proud to stand with the families of victims, hostages, and survivors of the ruthless Oct. 7th massacre. I will always stand and fight for the people of Israel.

Am Yisrael Chai!

In The Media

Congressman Carlos Gimenez Joins Fox & Friends

I joined Fox News to talk about the passage of the American Relief Act which averted a government shutdown right before the holidays. Shutting down the government costs more money than keeping it open and is extremely wasteful to the taxpayer. I am thankful the House passed this act which will also give aid to those that are still recovering from natural disasters and also our hardworking American farmers.
