The crisis at our borders is spiraling out of control, and now, Florida is facing an unprecedented wave of illegal migration from Communist China. We’ve seen an 8,000% increase in the number of migrants from Communist China flooding into Miami and the Keys from the Bahamas and the Caribbean. This is a direct threat to our national security, and we must act now!
As security at the southern border tightens, smugglers are finding alternative routes and our district, Miami and the Florida Keys, is paying the price.
The Bahamas must work to end the illegal migrants flooding the island and our communities. We cannot allow our adversaries to exploit weak enforcement and put American lives at risk.
I will continue fighting to close loopholes, strengthen enforcement, and hold those responsible accountable. Florida will not be a gateway for illegal immigration!
