Dear Friends,

There is no one better than Rosa María Payá to represent the United States on the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights. She is a tireless fighter for freedom, a leader in our Cuban exile community, and a dear friend. Rosa María has dedicated her life to exposing the brutal realities of dictatorship and advocating for those who cannot speak for themselves.

The Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) plays a vital role in defending fundamental freedoms across our hemisphere. It holds oppressive regimes accountable, investigates human rights violations, and stands up for democracy and justice. At a time when tyranny threatens our region, this work is more critical than ever.

Now, as a representative of the United States, Rosa María will continue her fearless fight for human dignity and freedom. We are incredibly proud of her and stand with her in this important mission. Rosa María, we know you will make a difference!

Sincerely,

Your Congressman,
Carlos A. Gimenez

Meeting with Quebec Delegation

I met with Quebec’s delegate to the US, Benjamin Belair, to discuss the partnership between the U.S. and Quebec.

National Shipbuilding and Repair Industry Conference

I spoke at the 2025 national shipbuilding industry conference to discuss the vital work that shipbuilders do. The work they do is critical—not just for maintaining the US shipping industry, but for strengthening America's economy, national security, and ensuring we remain the world’s dominant maritime power.

The Future of Robotics

Fascinating to see so many institutions on the Hill to discuss advancements in AI and robot technology. These robots could have incredible real-world applications. Imagine robots performing precise farm work, reducing labor costs, and helping American farmers stay competitive. That’s the future.

DC Closeup

It was wonderful to see so many excited Homestead students in Washington D.C.

Coffee Hour

Always great to sit down with the Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute to discuss what we are doing in Congress.
