Dear Friends,

I have long warned that agents of the Cuban Communist regime have entered our country under false pretenses, living among us, all while concealing their dark past.

This week, those warnings were validated. Daniel Morejon Garcia, a known member of the Cuban Communist Party, was arrested in Miami by agents from Homeland Security Investigations, Customs and Border Protection, and the FBI. He stands accused of lying about his Communist Party membership to gain entry into the United States, a deceitful act that made him ineligible for entry under U.S. law.

Daniel Morejon Garcia’s arrest is not a coincidence. He was identified through “Cuban Repressors in the United States of America”, my ongoing effort to uncover and deport regime collaborators, human rights violators, and Communist operatives who have abused our system to find refuge here. America must never become a sanctuary for oppressors. If you enabled the Castro Regime, you are not welcome in the United States.

We will continue to expose these individuals and ensure they face justice. The Cuban exile community deserves to live in freedom, not shoulder to shoulder with those who once served the very regime that drove them into exile.

Their lies brought them here. The truth will send them back.

Sincerely,

Your Congressman,
Carlos A. Gimenez

Remembering Pope Francis

Lourdes and I are heartbroken with the passing of his sanctity Pope Francis. We were beyond blessed to have met Pope Francis personally in the Vatican on my wife Lourdes’ birthday.

We join all of our fellow Catholic community in mourning his loss.

Honoring Brigade 2506

On April 17th, 1961 the young men of Assault Brigade 2506 descended onto the shores of Cuba to liberate their homeland from Communist tyranny.

My own cousin was among those brave freedom fighters. They were my first heroes and my work in Congress is in honor of them & their sacrifices. We must never, ever forget them.
