Dear Friends, 

Our prayers are with the island and the resilient people of Cuba as they face the impacts of a Category 1 hurricane combined with massive power outages. It has been over four days since the Cuban regime lost power leaving its citizens without electricity. For 65 long years, the Cuban people have been suffering under a murderous dictatorial regime that continues to ignore their citizens basic human rights. The Castro regime’s failure to secure fuel to power the electrical grid is yet another example of their neglect of their people.

The regime has failed again to provide for even the most basic necessities of life. From healthcare to food supplies, and now electricity, the people of Cuba are being failed at every turn. The toll on human life is criminal, and the Castro regime holds all the responsibility. 

The people of Cuba deserve better. They deserve freedom, dignity, and a government that values their lives. The world is watching, and we must continue to stand in solidarity with the Cuban people in their fight for freedom. It is time for real change, and the time is now.
