Dear Friends, 

On Veterans Day, we honor the bravery, sacrifice, and dedication of all who have served in our nation's armed forces. Their commitment has safeguarded our freedom and upheld the values we hold dear. Lourdes and I express our deepest gratitude to these heroes, whose service and sacrifice inspire us all.

Further, I want to thank you, the constituents of Florida’s 28th Congressional District, for trusting me to serve you in our nation's capital in the House of Representatives. It has been a great honor to represent you in the 118th Congress and I look forward to continuing our work.

We as a community have a lot to look forward to in not only the next couple of weeks but now years ahead. If you are not aware, Miami’s own U.S. Senator Marco Rubio has received President-elect Trump's nomination to be our next Secretary of State. In this role Senator Rubio will be the nation's highest-ranking Hispanic in history and our top diplomat. I have no doubt that he will represent this nation and also our vibrant community on the world stage with strength and dignity. Working alongside Elise Stefanik, Mike Waltz, and Mike Huckabee, the Trump Administration has assembled the Justice League for American security and foreign affairs. 

The tyrants in Havana, Caracas, and Managua will not be able to sleep with this new team. Their days are numbered because liberty and freedom are on the horizon.

Political violence has no place in our country. This violent anti-Semitic hate is despicable and must be confronted to the fullest extent of the law. I commend local and federal law enforcement in acting swiftly to ensure the safety of my dear colleague, Representative Jared Moskowitz (FL-23) after a plot against his life was discovered. Lourdes and I are praying for our friend, neighbor, and colleague, Congressman Jared Moskowitz, and his family.
