On behalf of the Gimenez family, I want to wish you all a safe and prosperous 2025!
Today marks the first full week of the 119th Congress and I am looking forward to delivering results for Florida’s 28th district. It has been an honor to represent you in the halls of Congress and I thank you for sending me back for a third term as your House Representative.
On day one we got right to work. Alongside my grandchildren, we witnessed history on the House Floor. I want to congratulate my friend, colleague, and son of a firefighter, Representative Mike Johnson on his re-election to lead the House of Representatives as Speaker during the 119th Congress. Under his leadership, he led and united our party during difficult times. I look forward to working alongside Speaker Johnson in delivering the America First agenda that the people of Miami-Dade and the Florida Keys voted for. We will work with President Trump to protect America, combat the Communist regimes in Cuba, Venezuela, and Nicaragua, secure our border, and boost our economy.
Thank you to all of my constituents, supporters, friends, and family who have helped us throughout my time in public service. Now let’s get to work!
Sincerely,
Your Congressman, Carlos A. Gimenez

Congressman Carlos Gimenez Stands with the Venezuelan People
Dictator Nicolas Maduro will not intimidate anyone! On July 28, 2024 Venezuela held presidential elections and despite widespread corruption, pressure tactics, intimidation, and fraud, the democratic opposition was able to prove victory by securing 67% of the vote. Yet, Dictator Nicolas Maduro released fraudulent results and claimed victory, despite having lost the election overwhelmingly against former Ambassador Edmundo Gonzalez Urrutía. This January 10, 2025 President-Elect Edmundo Gonzalez Urrutía is supposed to be sworn-in to office. The Maduro regime is attempting to stifle this, crush the democratic opposition and illegally remain in power. Millions of Venezuelans are expected to defy the odds and take to the streets starting on January 9 to demand Maduro step down and for President-Elect Edmundo Gonzalez to be sworn-in. The Venezuelan people need our solidarity and support at this time.
