Washington, D.C. - Today, Congressman Carlos Gimenez joined the House Homeland Security Committee hearing on U.S. border security. During Rep. Gimenez's line of questioning, Arizona Sheriff, David Hathaway, attempted to intimidate the Congressman and accused Rep. Gimenez of being a racist for his stance on the border crisis.

Congressman Carlos Gimenez will not be intimidated by socialist Democrats who call supporting the border and legal immigration racist. As the only Cuban-born Member of Congress and an immigrant himself, Rep. Gimenez supports ending the border crisis by implementing comprehensive border security and ending the illegal immigration that continues to plague and undermine the security of our community and nation.
